If you've used Paper for a while, you may have Journals created on older, smaller devices with less resolution. You can check the resolution of your device at iOSRes. The bigger the iPad, the bigger your exported PNG file will be. It's not possible to change the size or ration of your canvas. The content you create in Paper is created at the dimensions of the device the particular Journal was created on. On the next screen, scroll down to "Export with Background Color" to toggle the background color on/off. However, Paper 5 does not yet include the ability to import content from other apps via Drag and Drop.
